Here are a few books I have been reading lately.
Living Fearless
A friend of mine recommended this book to me last Fall. Other reading responsibilities occupied the last few months, so I am just now diving into this. I can easily get paralyzed by the things I am most afraid of. This book is about facing and conquering those fears, while also paying attention to what God says about me in the face of those fears. As I work to bring my thoughts and ideas to the world, this may be more necessary now than it was when Dave told me about it!
Aimee Semple McPherson was a pioneer in evangelism, with a savvy marketing and entertainment mind that drew thousands to her church in Los Angeles. But she was also part of scandals, with divorce, controversy, and an alleged kidnapping making the headlines, too. This is a look at the wart-and-all life she lived.
