Thanks for your interest in Dark Entries. I'm excited to share these stories with you. Throughout October, a new story will arrive every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, each inspired by a song that helped spark its imagination.
In these stories, the dead dance, ghosts whisper, monsters roam, and forgotten doors open into impossible places.
A haunted book records a boy's life in real time. A cemetery caretaker overhears the dead arguing about history. A lonely ghost waits decades to be seen. A child discovers a hidden archive of lost dreams guarded by a creature from his nightmares. A town seeks refuge in a graveyard, only to confront what it fears most.
Inspired by songs from Bauhaus, The Cure, Oingo Boingo, The Smiths, Concrete Blonde, and more, Dark Entries is a gothic collection filled with mystery, heart, humor, and hope.
Here, monsters are rarely the real monsters, and death is seldom the villain. The true dangers are fear, loneliness, obsession, forgetting, and the stories we tell ourselves.
Across thirteen tales of memory, mortality, love, and identity, darkness never has the final word.
Sometimes the dead have stories left to tell.
Sometimes the monsters are lonely.
And sometimes the darkest entry leads back to the light.
